All Ohio Residents must be electronically fingerprinted and have the results forwarded to the Dealer Licensing Section, PO Box 16521, Columbus, Ohio 43216-6521. NOTE: Electronic fingerprinting prices vary and payable to the company taking the print.
Out-of-state residents may submit a fingerprint card in lieu of electronic prints. An exemption form must also be completed. Please call to obtain a fingerprint card and current processing fee.
Out-of-State residents may submit the fingerprint card and processing fee with the completed salesperson application and exemption form to the address on form. Do not send the fingerprint card directly to B.C.I & I. Acceptable fingerprint card(s) may be obtained only by contacting the Dealer Licensing Section at (614)752-7636. Please make sure all information on the fingerprint card is completed.
Any felony or misdemeanor conviction relating to dealing in motor vehicles is reason for denial.

Issuance of a license will take 4-6 weeks if using fingerprint card, so be sure to start the process early enough to get your license in time for the event.
Duplicate
Persons whose current license is lost, mutilated or destroyed may apply for a duplicate license.
Renewal/Transfer
Persons who need to renew and transfer their license from one dealership to another.
Transfer/Reinstatement
Persons who hold a valid Ohio Salespersons License may transfer their license from one licensed dealership to another or reinstate a license if rehired after leaving a dealership. A transfer is not necessary if the salesperson is simply moving to another dealership owned and operated by that same corporation, even if it is located in another county.
